Job Responsibilities
- Work closely with the CEO, Regional Tennis Manager (RTM) and Club Development Officer (CDO) to develop the Competitive Play and Schools strategy including workplans, targets, goals / objectives, and budget
- Manage and monitor activities relating to the achievement of the organisations Competitive Play & Schools strategy
- Lead the continued development and implementation of Canberra Tennis League (CTL) across the ACT & Region
- Oversee the Competitive Play Coordinator in leading the education, increased adoption and delivery of Tennis Hot Shots Match Play
- Collaborate with Tennis Australia in conducting national / Pro Tour events in the ACT & Region
- Support schools in developing tennis plans, including Sporting Schools, competitions, and links to other Competitive Play opportunities
Job Requirement
- Tertiary qualification in Sports Management or similar (preferred)
- Exceptional ability to engage with and influence key stakeholders
- Experience in coordinating events with the ability to demonstrate initiative, prioritise tasks and deal with conflict
- Strong administrative, budgeting, record keeping, and report writing skills with a high-level of attention to detail
- Strong presentation and communication skills both in one-on-one and public speaking situations
- Excellent people management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire staff and volunteers
- Knowledge of existing on-line tournament competition management systems is desirable
- Alignment with the Tennis values of Excellence, Humility, Collaboration and Imagination
- You must hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check
- Preparedness to be flexible in regard to working hours and arrangements associated with Tennis ACT
