Job Responsibilities
- Support the Program Lead to gather and interpret client requirements in order to identify opportunities
- Under guidance from the Program lead, conduct market and competitive analysis to understand the Australian market for assigned programs, including import/export of relevant QinetiQ products and services through Group entities.
- Support Program Lead engagement with potential clients and partners to identify business opportunities and position QinetiQ Australia as a credible ‘below-the-line’ service provider to
- Australian Defence, other Government entities, and Prime Contractors/OEMs by leveraging QinetiQ Group capability.
- Support the Program lead to develop and maintain Capture Plans and Briefing Material
- Support solution development activities for directed business opportunities.
- Lead the development of compelling and complaint proposals and tender responses.
Support negotiation and contract relationships with partners and subcontractors necessary to capture selected business opportunities. - Support the development of solution architectures that meet client requirements whilst ensuring that delivery remains cost-effective/financially competitive within acceptable risk parameters
- Develop, through personal research, training and engagement with QinetiQ Group entities, subject matter expertise in assigned campaign/program offerings
- Sales, Capture management and/or proposal management training.
- Tertiary Degree or trade qualifications in engineering/technical fields relevant to assigned campaign/program (Desirable)
- Experience in developing or operating emerging technology in the land domain.
- Experience in complex tenders and proposals
- Demonstrable ability to achieve outcomes through influence and collaboration.
- Experience in complex capture campaigns and tender response development.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Desktop publishing, writing and editorial skills.
- Understanding of Australian Defence procurement and ASDEFCON RFT’s/Contracts.
- Experience in Defence Materiel import and export regulations including US DoS ITAR requirements (Desirable)
- Formal training/ Certificate level qualifications in project management (Desirable)
- Formal training in complex sales (e.g. Shipley) highly desirable
- Collaborative with peers; a team-player that puts the interests of the team ahead of self-interest.
- Disciplined approach to applying business winning processes, strong work ethic
- Flexibility to respond to changing workload requirements, including occasional travel, periods of increased workload, and additional effort to meet deadlines.
