Job Responsibilities
- Develop and grow engineering talent through effective mentoring, coaching, succession planning, and retention strategies in a fast growth, highly competitive economic environment.
- Oversee architecture and critical implementations, product and code quality, and use of best practices focused on developing highly scalable systems.
- Develop, track, and communicate progress and risk to technology roadmap, maintain alignment with product roadmap to various stakeholders, and own development and shipment responsibility for projects.
- Inspire Computer Science teams to innovate, invent, implement, and deploy complex software solutions in a commercial, mission-critical environment.
- Apply Machine Learning domain expertise to guide the team to solve some of the hardest transportation challenges while building highly reliable systems that can scale.
Job Requirement
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in software engineering, including managing a team of software engineers.
- Experience with software development in one or more general purpose programming languages.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with technical innovation and leading a team of software engineers in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in the application of Machine Learning in product use cases.
- Experience with data analysis, quality, and experimentation.
- Experience in shipping large-scale products/capability.
- Experience within mobile application development.
- Experience successfully bootstrapping new engineering and product areas.
