Risk and Controls Senior Analyst Job at nbn AU SEP 2022

Job Responsibilities

• In your new role as the Risk and Controls Senior Analyst, you will work closely with stakeholders to enable transparent and effective controls testing/assurance of the technology control environment. You will also work closely with the wider Governance and Controls team to ensure outcomes of the control assurance activities are considered within the broader risk management processes, such as risk profile updates, issue and action development and risk reporting.
• You will also provide mentoring, oversight, and support for a team of Controls Assurance Analysts; and you will partner with stakeholders to provide advice and guidance over the design of controls within the technology portfolio.
• Moreover, you will be accountable for assisting in the development and documentation of controls assurance activities within the GRC tool (ServiceNow) and for helping to refine the controls assurance processes over time, identifying opportunities for process improvement to add greater value to the stakeholder engagements and outcomes.
• As the Risk and Controls Senior Analyst, you will also be required to assist in the development and facilitation of education and training for teams regarding Controls Assurance practices and processes.
• You will be a member of a collaborative team, where you will contribute to, positively support and be part of a high-performance team culture to successfully deliver on the nbn and team purpose, strategy, and stakeholder engagement initiatives. 

Job Requirement

To be successful in this role

• you will have previous experience in working within a line 1, 2 Risk or audit function and a strong understanding of IT General Control principals and control assurance methodologies and practices.
• You will also have highly developed relationship management skills.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CRISC, CISA, CISM will be required as well as a good understanding of basic IT governance frameworks.
• This role would suit a detail-oriented, inquisitive candidate that is able to grasp broad technology concepts and relate outcomes to policies, standards and best practice.
• General knowledge of IT frameworks such as COBIT and ITIL would be considered advantageous.
• The ideal candidate will have the confidence to act with a high degree of autonomy and under pressure, engage with internal and external stakeholders across a broad spectrum of Business units and ability to present to audiences confidently and professionally. You will be highly organised, with excellent communication skills, adaptable and will thrive in an atmosphere of change.
