To commemorate the occasion, community events and special programmes are being planned across television, radio, the internet, and social media. Reporter position with the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC), children's news. Section 8 of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation Act of 1983 outlines the Board's responsibilities (the ABC Act).
The ABC's operations are under the control of the ABC Board. The Board's responsibility is to uphold the Corporation's independence and integrity while ensuring that its tasks are carried out effectively and with the greatest possible benefit to Australia's citizens. The Board is also in charge of making sure that news and information are gathered and presented accurately, impartially, and in accordance with accepted journalistic standards and that the ABC complies with all applicable laws and regulations.
Reporter, Children’s News Job at Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC)
Job Responsibilities
- BTN has the opportunity for a Reporter to join the team!
- This key role will see you create a variety of news and educational video content for BTN’s weekly, daily and digital programs.
- You will research and write clear, concise copy and produce engaging video packages that appeal to young audiences and school communities.
- Working with a small and collaborative team of reporters/content makers, you will ensure comprehensive coverage for BTN and other related education programs and initiatives.
- We want to hear from Reporters who will actively suggest, generate, and develop content ideas and proactively identify digital content opportunities to target key audiences on online and mobile platforms.
Job Requirement
- You will have proficient research skills, technical skills, an ability to write for young audiences and proven on-screen presentation skills suitable for children’s television.
- You will be a Reporter with creative story-telling techniques and a sound understanding of current news events and how to select stories appropriate for children.
