Job Responsibilities

Reporting to the Senior Quality Control Manager, the successful candidate will work closely with the Distribution Centre, Buying and store teams. Our aim is to bring to life the values of the Fresh Food People, by continually improving the quality of fruit and vegetables for stores and customers.

  • To monitor and assess Fruit & Veg lines delivered to the distribution centre (DC)
  • To validate the compliance with product quality and labelling specifications set by the Woolworths quality assurance team and Government Legislation
  • Collaborate with the Commercial Buying Team to ensure we are delivering the best quality offer for store operations to enhance customer experience
  • Reporting to Senior Quality Control Officer and working alongside the buying teams to deliver safe, quality products in line with Woolworth’s specifications and company KPI’s
  • Bring to life flexibility and drive productivity

Job Requirement

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic MS Suite skills (Excel, Word)
  • Ability to multitask & prioritise
  • Ability to maintain composure in demanding situations
  • Creates an environment where people share successes
  • Post Harvest knowledge
  • Agronomy / Agriculture knowledge
  • Firm understanding of supermarket retailing and commercial processes
  • Farming or/and retail fruit & veg experience
