Job Responsibilities
Reporting to the Manager, Payroll Services, as our Payroll Services Officer, you will work collaboratively within a small team to support the timely and accurate processing of ACU’s fortnightly payroll service. You will have responsibility for a variety of tasks to support the cyclical processes for the payment of salaries, superannuation, salary packaging and other remittances, within critical fortnightly, monthly, quarterly, biannual and annual deadlines.
- Employee record administration in our Aurion HRIS
- Timesheet and leave processing
- Termination calculation and processing
- Electronic payslip distribution
- Investigation and resolution of payroll queries
- Payroll exception reporting.
Job Requirement
- A solid understanding of the payroll processing cycle and ability to effectively manage priorities to meet critical deadlines.
- High attention to detail to ensure accurate payroll processing.
- Demonstrated payroll record administration and end to end payroll processing experience, including the interpretation and application of Enterprise Agreement and Award provisions.
- Demonstrated experience in the use of an integrated Payroll/HRIS, preferably Aurion and understand how information contained in a HRIS is used for reporting and decision-making.
- Proven capability to work collaboratively across functional areas to respond to payroll queries.
- Completion of a relevant degree, or an equivalent combination of relevant payroll processing experience and/or education and training.
