Job Responsibilities

This role ensures TAL’s data governance capabilities are developed, maintained and supported to meet the needs of TAL’s business operations. Reporting into the Practice Lead – Enterprise Data and working with TAL’s Data Owners, Data Stewards, Risk Office and various data delivery teams, the role supports compliance with TAL’s Data Governance Policy.

More specifically, your role is to lead the operation and uplift of business capabilities in relation to:

• Data governance (including change management, policies, and standards)
• Metadata management
• Data quality management
• Master and Reference Data Management

Job Requirement

• Ability to work across executive leadership, business operational and technical teams
• Excellent relationship development, influencing and written / verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to work collaboratively across functions
• Ability to evangelise data management as critical business capabilities
• Leading and developing high performance (including operational excellence)
• Ability to collaborate with Technology in relation to data acquisition and modelling (data warehousing & data lakes)
• Ability to translate data management and analytics issues to business risks
• Ability to translate data quality management to performance management issues
• Understanding of and ability to define business requirements, business processes and operational policies
• Understanding of Agile delivery methodology
