Job Responsibilities

• The Data Analyst supports the business with highlighting insights that lie within the data to help HIF make smarter decisions to deliver even better products and services to its Members.
• Our ideal candidate will have a passion for discovering solutions hidden in data sets and working with stakeholders to improve business outcomes.
• You will be adept at using large data sets to find opportunities for product and process optimization and using models to test the effectiveness of different courses of action and have a proven ability to drive business results with your data-based insights.
• Responsibilities also include completion of regular management reporting, premium round modelling and provide support in the preparation of business cases and HIF’s decision-making capability.

Job Requirement

• 3+ years’ experience in data analytics
• Excellent relationship building and high-level interpersonal communication skills
• Demonstrated Data analysis and visualization software  experience.
• Excellent problem-solving skills & Intellectual curiosity
• Advanced SQL skills (minimum 2 years’ experience)
• Advanced MS Excel Skills.
• Ability to work independently with strong time management skills
• Ability to communicate results using Business Intelligence systems
• Experience working with large transactional and financial data sets
• Experience with data visualization tools (preferably Qlik)
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• High numerical and analytical ability.
• Completion or advanced progress in Tertiary studies in Commerce, Finance, Actuarial, Data Analytics, Accounting or related qualification.
• Knowledge Python and/or R desirable
