Business Development Manager Job at Mission Australia SEP
Job Responsibilities
- Lead the Queensland growth strategy process (including large-scale development opportunities) and review of internal and external analysis to inform strategy options and deliver growth.
- Contribute to the development of Queensland strategy and ensure aligns with National MAH growth strategy.
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with Government stakeholders, including Ministers, Shadow Ministers, Department Heads, key Department staff, Advisors and Department Operational Staff.
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with suitable Developers to deliver large scale growth opportunities through consortium projects
- Establish and maintain relationships with Queensland CHPs and explore mergers and acquisition opportunities.
- Develop and have approved annual Business Plans that deliver the approved MPS and growth strategy.
- Represent MAH at appropriate industry and peak body forums, workshops, meetings and conferences.
- Identify key stakeholders across all Queensland.
- Develop and have approved a Stakeholder Engagement Plan (SEP).
- Assist with the development and writing ‘smaller-scale’ ‘minor’ tender and unsolicited bid submissions.
Job Requirement
- 10 plus years of business development experience, ideally in the social housing sector
- Senior level relationship development / management experience with government, peer CHPs and large corporates.
- Tertiary qualification in related field.
- Excels at working collaboratively with internal MAH team members and external stakeholders.
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of social housing systems in Australia and internationally, and opportunities for partnerships between Not for Profits, the private sector and Government.
- Understanding of Government requirements and decision making processes in relation to tenders and funding of new business.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver complex projects within tight timeframes.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders at a senior level.
- Ability to manage tender response.
- A Current Drivers Licence.
- Evidence of Covid 19 Vaccination.
