Job Responsibilities 

  • General laundry duties including sorting and bagging of soiled linen, loading and unloading dryers, sorting and folding clean linen and ironing.
  • Upkeep of laundry area, including ensuring clean linen and carts are placed in appropriate areas and machinery is switched off at the end of shifts as required.
  • Maintenance of linen, including identification and marking of stains, holes and sending for repairs
  • Maintenance of external client linen, including counting, bagging and sorting of linen
  • Maintain complete and accurate notes and other documentation relevant to the position.
  • Demonstrate an awareness of and commitment to safe working practices.

Job Requirement

  • Demonstrated skills and experience working with process work within a laundry or similar area.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of infection control guidelines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and efficiently as part of a team, including sound communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of WHS and Manual Handling requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to adhere to the defined standards of ethical and professional conduct consistent with the current NSW Health Code of Conduct and/or relevant professional standards where applicable
