Job Responsibilities 

Use your housekeeping skills in a role in which you can really make a difference – ensuring our residents have clean and hygienic laundry including bedding, clothing and general linen, all whilst providing our residents with a compassionate and empathetic approach.

  • Sorting through soiled and dirty linen – separating by fabric, cleaning techniques or dirt content
  • Loading cleaning machines, washers and dryers
  • Sort and count linen as removed from dryers
  • Hang, fold and wrap linen as required
  • Ironing and operating machinery
  • Maintaining legislated workplace health and safety practices
  • Ad hoc support to the broader team as required, including catering and cleaning

Job Requirement

  • Ideally Cert III Hospitality, but not essential
  • Previous experience gained in a similar role, aged care experience highly regarded but not essential
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and manage labour intensive tasks
  • Ensure production targets are maintained
  • Must have flexible availability for a variety of shifts throughout the week, including weekends and evenings
