Job Responsibilities
- Proactively drive project delivery to maximize positive business outcomes sooner.
- Deliver projects as per established Shell processes under direction of the Program / Portfolio manager.
- Assist in generation, submission and chasing approvals of project documentation.
- Actively manage contractor / subcontractor performance.
- Liaise and effectively manage communication between contractors and other Shell departments / suppliers.
- Provide HSSE leadership over contractors. Ensure all work is carefully planned and risk assessed. Lead toolbox talks when required.
- Provide contractor supervision and otherwise supervise any migrations / cutovers as necessary (out of hours).
- Assist in any change control activities and representations.
- Communicate clearly, concisely, and calmly with stakeholders.
- Provide engineering oversight and advice as required by delivery contractors.
- Assess project progress and report weekly to the Program / Portfolio Manager.
- Be prepared to challenge – don’t make unrealistic promises.
- Provide any other related support as required by the Program / Portfolio Manager.
- Deliver all activities with safety as a priority. Commit to Shell Lifesaving rules and Goal Zero (no harm, no leaks).

Job Requirement
- Significant years of experience in oil and gas projects (an advantage) or related fields or degree in IT infrastructure / project engineering. PMI / PMP an advantage. Existing BOSIET and MSIC an advantage.
- Understanding of legal and regulatory framework for delivering Telecommunication services. Understanding of industry standard change controls and permitting.
- Demonstrated IP networking / voice / wireless skills. Demonstrated contract management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to control project finances. Working understanding of capital project governance.
- Sound engineering documentation skills. Ability to write project premise documents, scopes of work, project status updates, project, and risk plans.
- Familiar with system test procedures and results, and how to effectively run and document. Familiarity with a range of analysis, modelling and design methods and have good current knowledge of IT standards, methodologies, application and trends.
- Demonstrated project team leadership. Ability to work across a matrix organization and influence without formal authority. Demonstrated HSSE leadership.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and methodology. Good clear communications skills. Must be able to speak and write clearly in English.
- Calm, considered and concise approach to project delivery. Ability to honestly appraise a situation and act / report accordingly.
- Ability to deliver new systems and technologies that are fully operable under Shell processes. Mining / oil and gas experience and understanding of QGC and Shell environment and processes an advantage.
- Ability to travel at short notice. Drivers licence an advantage.
