Job Responsibilities 

  • Achievement of Key Performance Indicators
  • Identifying, implementing and executing strategic business plans
  • Providing exceptional customer service at all times
  • Completing department walks with both the Fruit & Veg Manager and Store Manager
  • Mentoring fruit & veg department managers to achieve key financial and departmental objectives
  • Stock management including shrinkage prevention and merchandising
  • Quality control and compliance
  • Overseeing departmental operations
  • People management, coaching and development
  • Ensuring departmental compliance with all Food Safety Standards.

    Job Requirement

    • Minimum 5 years experience in a supermarket management role
    • Previous fruit & vegetable retail experience is desirable 
    • Proven ability to achieve financial budgets
    • Experience with stock management including merchandising and shrinkage prevention
    • Experience coaching and training team members
    • Successfully implementing procedures and executing strategies
    • Sound communication, organisational and dispatching skills
    • Strong people management and coaching skills
    • High level prioritisation, organisational and time management skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong analytical ability and effective decision-making ability
    • Understanding of general WHS safety policies and procedures
