Job Responsibilities 

  • Reporting to the Coordinator Housekeeping Services you will assist our residents by preparing nourishing meals in consultation with individual care plans and taking into consideration special dietary needs
  • Ensuring a quality catering service is provided to residents
  • Maintaining a current knowledge of safe work practice, housekeeping practice and food safety legislation, including Resthaven’s Food Safety Program
  • Effective supervision of kitchen and dining room staff
  • Ordering, checking and rotating all food supplies
  • Implementation of work practise that ensure all kitchen equipment and utensils are maintained and secured

Job Requirement

  • Your 2022 Influenza vaccination
  • COVID-19 vaccinations including Booster (if due)
  • Experience in providing food handling and preparation services
  • Knowledge of food safety legislation. You will have experience with HACCP implementation and review as well as experience in kitchen services within an Aged Care setting
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member
  • Ability to demonstrate understanding and communicate effectively with older people
  • You are able to prioritise workloads, demonstrate flexibility and achieve outcomes within specified time frames.
