Job Responsibilities

• Providing guidance and direction to team members and accept responsibility for work carried out individually or in a team environment by others.
• Dealing with routine problems that arise during the course of work through the application of acquired knowledge and reference to standard guidelines and manuals.
• Actively participating in team meetings and processes and pro-actively offer suggestions for improvement.
• Applying interpersonal skills to resolve conflict between team members or others outside the team.
• Provide on the job training to team members in relevant procedures as required.
• Managing WHS procedure and ensure adherence by your team.
• Ensuring that environmental risk assessment and control processes are applied at the worksite.
• You will also be required to work at night occasionally and travel away from home as part of this role.

Job Requirement

• You will possess the criteria for Construction Carpenter Grade 3, have solid leadership skills and proven experience supervising trade/ non trade staff.
• Carpenter and Joiner; Construction Carpenter; Bridge and Wharf Carpenter; Civil Engineering Construction Carpenter; or equivalent
• You are experienced in risk management and following site environment management procedures and implementation of environmental controls and safeguards.
• Whilst not essential, a MR Truck license and Traffic Control tickets are favourable
• Finally, you hold a White Card, a current drivers licence, and are able to work outside normal working hours, attend call-outs, travel across the region and stay away from home when needed.
• Applicants must be based within 100km of the depot in Ballina or South Grafton NSW or be willing to relocate to within 100km of the depot.
