All staff members are expected to grasp ACU's vision and values and to actively contribute to them as respected members of our community.  Administrative Services, User Experience, Student Systems, and the Office of the Academic Registrar and Director, Student Administration are the four main sections that make up the Student Administration Directorate, which is headed by the Academic Registrar and Director, Student Administration. The directorate supports the university's academic decision-making processes by developing academic policies, offering operational support for administrative issues relating to students and academics, and implementing process improvement initiatives to enhance the user experience for faculty and students.

Job Responsibilities

As a Business Analyst, you’ll collaborate with staff from across the university to improve the student and staff experience through student administration processes and systems. Working within the areas of business improvement, development, maintenance and upgrade projects, more specifically the role entails:

  • Preparing and managing project documentation including the creation of process maps, business requirements document, functional specifications and testing documentations.
  • Working on projects from concept stage to post implementation, by converting business requirements to specifications, supporting testing and user training.
  • Collaborating closely with developers and project teams to deliver successful system and process improvements.
  • Working closely with users to run workshops and document business requirements.

Job Requirement

  • Education, training and/or relevant substantial experience equivalent to the completion of a Bachelor’s Degree with appropriate work experience.
  • Proven skills and relevant experience in business systems analysis and design.
  • Strong planning, organisational and time management skills including the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholder including technical and non-technical staff, management and external vendors.
  • Proven experience in producing documentation through the full project lifecycle including business requirements, functional specifications, process maps, test plans and training materials.
  • Experience in leading requirement gathering processes with multiple stakeholders to agree on common requirements that achieve project objectives.
