The Australian Parliament, usually referred to as the federal or Commonwealth Parliament, was formed in 1901 by the Australian Constitution. Australia's Parliament will hire an assistant director of communications in July 2022.

Job Responsibilities

• The successful candidate will play a role in supporting the Branch’s executive team to shape and deliver effective communication strategies and programs that reflect our strategic objectives.  
• The Assistant Director, Communications will also work closely with the DPS Communication and Corporate Relations Branch to promulgate DPS strategic communication initiatives to our workforce and stakeholders.        
• The DPS is the proud custodian of Australian Parliament House (APH), the working symbol of Australian democracy and a significant destination for our citizens and international visitors.
